Drinking Coffee & Doing Things

What is it about nice weather that makes us want to refresh our lives? Lately I've been spending my time doing some Spring rearranging. Yes, that's right, rearranging NOT cleaning. There was some cleaning involved, but it has been mostly just me putting plants and blankets in different rooms. These are my two favorite corners of my apartment. All you need is a glass of wine to make this heaven. I can always trust that there will be a cat rolling around at my feet if I'm in one of these spots. Everything in my home was either a gift or a bargain find. When my boyfriend and I first started decorating our old house, it was very frustrating because we had a ton of miss matching pieces. It just wasn't coming together like I had hoped it would. My boyfriend really couldn't care less. He had his tech room and a bed so he was all set. Coffee turns me from a zombie into a semi-pleasant human being...on most days. Days like today are rare, but they exist. Nothing was waking me up! I got 7 hours of sleep, work was stress free, the weather was 70 and sunny, I ate (fairly) healthy. There was no reason why I should be as tired as I was today! I tried drinking coffee, tea and water, but nothing seemed to work! It's frustrating how much this doesn't make sense.  So, the question is: What do you do when you just want to sleep? I've come up with a list of things that MIGHT work. I have to be honest, I didn't try any of these things today. Instead I napped for 3 hours, woke up and started blogging. Not the most productive day but also not the most unproductive.  1. Meditate. It seems weird that I'm telling you to sit with your eyes closed and concentrate on your breathing. You might need to fight the urge to nap a little harder than usual, but when meditation is done right you'll feel awake and...

I've created what feels like 100 different blogs. None of those blogs have kept my interest longer than a couple weeks. I'm really hoping this time is different. Maybe now that I'm older and "wiser" I'll be able to maintain a blog at least through the summer. Goal setting is important, so here's my first goal: consistently post through summer 2019...NO MATTER WHAT. I don't have a plan for this blog. I don't know what I'll be writing about or how often I'll be doing it. All I know is that this will be a blog that talks about what I do during or after drinking coffee. My life revolves around coffee (see 'About' section) whether I like it or not. I'll talk about anything and everything...my projects, my goals, my adventures, or my fears. There's no telling what I'll decide to write about. We'll just have to wait and see!
